To start off the week, the JV football team got a win 18-8 against PBL Monday night. Alex Olsen led the team, getting a safety to end the second quarter, and a pick-six to end the game. On Thursday the Freshman team beat Monticello 20-16.

Friday night the Varsity football team lost their game against Monticello 46-22. They started the game scoring two touchdowns in the first half. Landon Horning scored the first touchdown and Reygan Sitton ran 65 yards to score their second. They just couldn’t seem to keep the momentum going, only scoring one touchdown in the last two quarters.

The volleyball team lost their Tuesday game against IVC but won their Thursday game against Decatur MacArthur in two sets. They won the first set 25-8 and the second set 25-18. Cross country had a small meet on Tuesday that both teams placed in. At the First to Finish Invitational on Saturday, the top three runners from the boy’s team were Owen Dare (17th), Logan Demling (22nd), and Carter Phillips (25th). The top three runners from the girl’s team were Abby Litwiller (43rd), Anna Bieber (57th), and Chrystal Cornwell (71st).

The girl’s golf team won both of their matches this week, both times achieving a team score of 214. The boy’s golf team also had two matches this week but didn’t place in either. Boy’s soccer faced competitive teams over the week, coming out with two losses. With a shortage of players resulting in them not being able to sub out their players, it has been difficult for the soccer team to compete. The girl’s swim team also faced some competitive teams at their meet in Normal Community this week. At the meet Madilyn Noreuil got a PR of 27 seconds in the 50 freestyle.
