While describing the type of customer service they provide, Bill Carpenter stated, “Everybody here cares about every customer. Whether it is a big or small customer, everyone is treated the same. We work hard to please everyone.”

Earlybird Grain and Fertilizer of Stanford provides custom applications, seed sales, crop scouting, and other goods. The chemical and fertilizer application is where the business sees the most sales, it is the biggest part of the business. The applications are made custom to each customer and can be chosen from dry and liquid fertilizers, chemicals, insecticides, anhydrous ammonia, and lime. They offer airplane spraying services and Variable Rate Technology. Some of the other goods available at Earlybird are gravel, dirt, softener salt, lawn fertilizer, and more! If you are interested in pricing for any goods available at Earlybird, call (309) 379-3021 for more information.

Bill Carpenter is an operator and truck driver for the business. He has worked for Earlybird for eight and a half years and really enjoys the family atmosphere of the business and the ability to be working outside. Their busy season begins in the spring and runs through the fall. Carpenter described a day in the life during their busy season to “vary from day to day”. He stated, “It depends on if we are spraying that day or driving the semi hauling product into the plant. Not one day is the same as the next.”
